Mamta Pavuluri talks about Geography Optional

I have attempted UPSC Prelims twice before. However, I was very apprehensive of the optional subject earlier. Especially the technical part of geography which needed me to study concepts. While looking for online videos, I came across UPSC Pathshala. After going through their sample videos I decided to enroll for the course.

Since then I have had a great experience with UPSC Pathshala. Their optional course is very good. The conceptual clarity provided is great. I never thought Geomorphology can be so easy to understand. Akshay Sir gives very easy and relevant examples.

Apart from that they also made me solve a lot of questions. I have solved more than 100 questions till now in Paper I alone. This has helped me lose the fear of writing mains questions, which I held earlier. Now I can even attempt the GS questions very confidently. Akshay sir also gives a template to how to solve the mains questions. He has solved many previous year questions giving you a clear idea as to how to write answers.

Another good thing about the course is that it covers the GS syllabus also very well. I think the entire part of GS Geography is covered in the optional. No other books would be needed to study that section now.

Now I am left with the Paper II which I will be starting post my prelims. I am confident with this preparation I will score great in geography. All thanks to UPSC Pathshala.
